New Expansion of Path of Exile’s 2023

Done, you've sealed the threat that lies in Exile Atlas' path. You have currently registered Wraeclast. With your strength and experience, you choose to explore it instead of returning to the void. As you grow stronger, you also become familiar with the mind-bending and twisted worlds of Atlas. Suddenly you're a threat to your homeworld!

At least that's what the new expansion suggests. Grinding Gear Games has found a way for player behavior to influence the game's story. Take that long and no wonder someone goes crazy. This is a description of the new bosses you will encounter in this update. These aren't real player characters that endlessly farm PoE orbs or the ones you can buy from Playerauctions.com, but something pretty close.

New bosses to defeat and new items to collect

The conquerors, the mentioned wanderers of Atlas, became very strong. As they shaped the place they were in, they never noticed that they too had changed. Now they threaten you and the world you live in. They are trapped for now, but they will be free soon!

There are five bosses to defeat. Each will give you a watch stone if you lose. Use these stones to unlock new maps to explore in Atlas. You can even change them on the fly!

By hunting them, you will find rare items with unusual modifications. New influence types provide these methods with unique specialization pools. You can even mix two equally impressive items to create a hybrid. It will have both properties of the objects that created it. Finally, there are new types of Exalted Orbs that add these unique modifications to your old items.

A new class of support gems, "Awakened", will also be available to collect. Even at the first level, they outperform their lower-class counterparts. If you're lucky, they leave a winner. Either way, these are great additions to your build and will be a great help in continuing to hunt down bosses.

In addition, there are new unique items and deviation cards to collect. Four unique items are exclusive to the league, so make sure you don't miss your chance to get them!

A new challenge league

Metamorph League allows players to create their own bosses to fight. Tane Octavius, exiled from the path of his master's murder, tries to find a source or cure for the "darkness within". By doing so, he hopes to absolve himself of the violence he has committed.

He will ask you to collect monster essences, which will be used to create metaphorical enemies. The model you use will determine the boss' abilities as well as the rewards they receive. During the fight, he will go through the forms of the monsters that established his existence. Be careful not to accidentally create something you can't beat!

Metamorphic bosses release catalysts, which improve the quality of jewelry. They will, in turn, increase the power of this gem's methods. They even have mods attached to them and increase their roll chance when used in crafting.

Additionally, the bow skill has been reworked and the ranged attack totems have been renamed to ballistae. The first adds new support gems, among other things, to reduce damage. The latter gets new dedicated support gems, passive skills, and new art. This is a brand new challenge for construction enthusiasts and the PoE currency farming community. Old buildings should be reworked or demolished and rebuilt as new ones.

The update dropped on December 13, a week later for consoles (Xbox and PS4). The league will only last two or three months, and time is always running out. Don't miss your chance! Enjoy Path of Exile: Conquerors of Atlas.
